Not all therapists are alike. The ReFraming Parenting Program is based upon principles that work extremely well with therapists who have training and experience in family and relationship issues. We suggest you look for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). An exceptional site through which you can search for a therapist in your area is www.therapistlocator.net.

Parent Help, teen help, and BUSINESS Help?.....It all helps.
WARNING - READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE IF YOU ARE USING THE INTERNET TO FIND RESOURCES TO HELP YOUR TROUBLED TEEN - THERE IS REAL DANGER IN THIS PROCESS

If you are reading this your child's behaviors have probably caused you some anxiety. Before rushing into a commitment with a treatment program, and before taking the advice of an internet teen cyber-expert consider everything on this page. Take your emotions out of the picture, and focus on being smart about the steps you are about to take.

No Single Answer. No treatment program, no therapist, and no school is THE answer for your child. Nothing you can do to your child is a solution in and of itself. Although there are many components to your child's success, the most important part of the solution must come from within him/her, and that solution will come when the choice to change has been made.

Unified Efforts. That said, you must understand that The ReFraming Parenting Program may not be the only necessary part of the solution you need. We STRONGLY suggest that you enlist the services of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. These professionals differ in many ways from their therapeutic counterparts. Most importantly, if you engage in ReFraming solutions, they are fully trained and educated in the theories and practices we espouse, and can more readily help you and your child through our program.

Prepare for Work, Pain, and Rewards. Before engaging in the ReFraming Parenting Program you must fully understand that we are not offering peace and bliss. We are offering at least twelve months of training and support in what may be the most difficult, emotionally painful task of your life. But, should you succeed, you will have been the key adult in your child's path to recovery, social well-being, and long-term success. Most importantly, your relationship with your child will grow and improve. The lasting rewards for success in your family cannot be measured.

Our Suggestion. We strongly suggest that if you enroll in our services, you do so with the intent to COMPLETELY AND THOROUGHLY perform in all three of the program components (Families, Unity, and Achievement). Although we offer 24/7 phone and online chat support for 12 months to all of our ReFraming Parenting Program clients, the added benefit of having your child(ren) learn your intentions, and buy into those intentions through ReFraming Unity is, in our opinion, critical to your success. If at all possible, ReFraming Unity should take place immediately following your completion of ReFraming Families. Moreover, the 12-month coaching and training support offered in ReFraming Achievement is critical to your ongoing development in ReFraming techniques and implementation. It will sometimes be bothersome, but your active engagement throughout the term of implementation is critical. Please commit yourself to the process.

Because we fully believe that you will see positive change in your child if you consistently employ all of our services and techniques, we are willing to offer a
$1,500 money-back guarantee on the ReFraming Parenting Program.

Costs of The ReFraming Parenting Program. You will be able to employ all of SIM's ReFraming Parenting Program solutions for $9,750 (stand-alone service). We also have other solutions, which include Insight Technical Academy (a residential treatment center, which includes the ReFraming Parenting Program), Beyond Boarders Vocational School (a young adult transitional program), seminars, and coaching services. However, we suggest that you employ the services of a good therapist and educational consultant to assist your child and family through this process if you should be contemplating out-of-home care. In addition, you may find the need to employ special academic services which vary in price and availability.

Make sure you seek out the best therapist possible to assist you and your child in your path to success. As we stated above, in our opinion, the quest for the right therapist begins with finding the right
type of therapist. If your child does not already see a therapist, we strongly suggest that you begin your search for an LMFT at www.therapistlocator.net.

Industry Warning. Many companies in the treatment care industry engage in a practice that is at best unethical. We label it "client terrorism," in that they intentionally imply verbally and through media, that you will be responsible for your child's death or incarceration if you don't enroll him/her in the program they are promoting. Note the twisting of truth: It is true that many adolescent misbehaviors may lead to death or loss of liberty. However, it is not true that you are helpless without the treatment organization or marketing professional. These organizations and individuals do not know you or your child at all, and are therefore not qualified to make such statements without intimate details of your child and your personal situation. Such statements are motivated by money -- your money -- and they are preying upon your pain and anxiety. They may sound like your best friend, or a qualified expert, but use of such tactics is an ugly side of an industry that feigns charitable concern, yet engages in predatorial, damaging behavior out of self-interest and greed.

• Strength vs. Weakness. Your strength as a parent is our primary focus - Your weakness and insecurities as a parent are the "client terrorist's" primary crutch. Don't fall for it. Do your research, and do what's right for yourself and your child. An extremely valuable confidant for troubled times in your family is a trusted therapist. As stated above, SIM and the ReFraming Treatment Program strongly recommend that you employ the services of a therapist who can help you with the problems your child is facing, both inside and outside the walls of your home. Begin by searching www.therapistlocator.net.

In addition, if you want the peace and assurance that comes with making the right decision(s), find the right experts to help you. In this industry, these experts are called
educational consultants. These professionals know the industry inside and out. They know the traps, the errors, the marketing ploys, as well as the most effective resources for your child and your family. They will be completely honest and unbiased. If there is any chance that you will place your struggling teen in any treatment program you will save yourself time, heartache, and will elude the perils of this industry if you employ the services of an educational consultant who is a member if the IECA.

Out-of-Home Placement? In-Home Solutions?

We are not saying that out-of home placement for your child is unnecessary. We don't know your child. And although we believe that regardless of your course of action, we can help,
even we are biased. Seeking an educational consultant and a therapist are wise moves because both of these types of professionals are bound by professional ethics to seek the best interest of your family and your child without bias.

What
can we do? We can help you discover and engage in powerful processes that contribute to positive change within your child and your home. We can support you and your child through treatment. You, the parent, are our primary focus and concern, for through you, and with you, we can help your child.

Remember, the closer your child is to the problem, the closer he/she is to the solution. Removing a child from the family, school, and social system around him/her, also removes him/her from the cause of the behavioral symptoms you witness. Far too much is left unaddressed if the only solution for your child is removal from the home. He will return. You will yet have to deal with him. We can help.

     • Beware, the primary goal of nearly all out-of-home treatment programs and their marketers is to remove your child from your home, even if his/her issues could (and should) be solved within the walls of your home. Why? Because if you have money they want it. In other words, the welfare of your family, and the health of your family system is secondary to their desire to be paid.
