If you need more than the ReFraming Parenting Program, then what?

SIM and the ReFraming Parenting Program make no recommendations to any non-allied treatment centers or out-of-home services. While we are willing to reference good programs, we specifically recommend Insight Technical Academy (SIM's Therapeutic treatment center for troubled teens, ages 13-17) or Beyond Boarders Vocational School (SIM's transitional outpatient program, with educational, vocational, and therapeutic focus, ages 18-24).

Aspects of the Alliance

Maintaining the Integrity of the Alliance. If you enroll in the ReFraming Parenting Program, and apply the processes, principles, and requirements of the program, we stand by our services and concepts with a 100% money-back guarantee. However, because we have no influence over the treatment and business practices of other organizations, if you choose to enroll your child in a non-allied treatment program during or subsequent to enrollment with us, without our prior review and approval of the program, all guarantees and benefits with SIM and The ReFraming Treatment Program are forfeit.

Knowledge is Power. When you have learned ReFraming principles you will be prepared to make an informed decision for out-of-home placement, should such placement be necessary. Much of this education is available in our one-day seminar. However, the more you become involved with our services, the more aware you will be of your own strengths and capabilities, and the more aware you will be of the problems and dangers of traditional out-of-home teen placement.

The Choice is Yours. We trust your ability to do what is best for your child, and will morally support your choice in out-of-home treatment placement. However, we can afford benefits to you and your child only through enrollment in, and support of SIM's ReFraming services. Some of these benefits include college and vocational scholarships, coaching services, educational options, etc.

Flexibility of Services. If you choose to place your child in the Insight Academy, and he/she wishes to work toward our scholarship program, our scholarship requirements include graduation from the academy. It is important that you and your child are committed to the treatment process. If you place your child, you should support the program all the way through to graduation.

Local Therapists

We are hopeful, and strongly suggest, that before you admit your child into Insight Academy or Beyond Boarders, you engage him/her in local therapy. The importance of this point is worth repeating: We strongly suggest that you seek a local therapist before sending your child into out-of-home care. However, the type of therapist whose services you employ is also important.
